October 31 was Reformation Day over 500 years ago; no wonder the world has made it something else entirely.
Man-made religion dealt with the outside only until the time of the reformation (Hebrews 9:10). Jesus' strongest rebukes were to the hypocrites who cleansed the outside of the cup but the inside was "a den of vipers" as He called them hypocrites, blind guides, blind men, blind fools, "white-washed" tombs appearing beautiful on the outside but within they are full of dead men's bones...appearing outwardly righteous to men but within full of hypocrisy and iniquity" (Matthew 23:13-28) "forsaken and desolate" (23:38) refusing to come to Jesus who would have gathered them under His wings "like a hen with her chicks" (23:37).
Jude called them "twice dead" "waterless clouds" uprooted trees that could bear no fruit, reserved for the "nether gloom of darkness forever" (Jude 4-13); ungodly scoffers, following their own ways that lead to death and destruction; rejecting Jesus, His Words, Sayings, and Name Above every name that can be named in heaven AND on earth.
"It is these who set up divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Holy Spirit" (Jude 18-19).
God our Father is hallowed when you have His Spirit of Christ in you; those who have the spirit of error, the spirit of the world of the "god of this world" who blinds minds, hallow "ween" whose archaic meaning is "be of the opinion, think, suppose, "he, I ween, is no sacred personage" and "ween" in slang is penis: just two of the definitions that came up first on "google".
Reformation is being re-formed in God's image and likeness through the Living Abiding Word of God (1 Peter 1:23) born anew of imperishable Seed, Jesus (1:22). The Word of God, Jesus, is the sharp, two-edged Sword of the Spirit of Christ, the imperishable Seed of the Words of Jesus planted in your heart and on your mind, that pierce through the darkness to cut you away from evil and reconnect you with the Beloved Son, Jesus, delivered from the dominion of darkness AND transferred into Christ (Colossians 1:12-13) our inheritance through Jesus; reconciled with God our Father, receiving His Holy Spirit to form Christ in you. "Little children, we are in travail until Christ be formed in you" (Galatians 4:19).
In Christ:
"There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call, 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of us all, who is above all and through all and in all. 7 But grace was given to each of us according to the measure of Christ's gift. 8 Therefore it is said,
"When he ascended on high he led a host of captives,
and he gave gifts to men."
9 (In saying, "He ascended," what does it mean but that he had also descended into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is He who also ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.) 11 And His gifts were that some should be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ; 14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the cunning of men, by their craftiness in deceitful wiles. 15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into Him who is the head, into Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by every joint with which it is supplied, when each part is working properly, makes bodily growth and upbuilds itself in love.
The Old Life and the New
17 Now this I affirm and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds; 18 they are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart; 19 they have become callous and have given themselves up to licentiousness, greedy to practice every kind of uncleanness. 20 You did not so learn Christ!— 21 assuming that you have heard about Him and were taught in Him, as the Truth is in Jesus. 22 Put off your old nature which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the Spirit of your minds, 24 and put on the new nature, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness" Ephesians 4:4-24
Christ in you is greater than he who is in this world (1 John 4:4); many antichrists have come pushing the spirit of error (4:3-6) and trying to keep you from the Spirit of Truth who guides you into all the Truth (John 16:13). Do not take your eyes off of Jesus, the True Light, in this darkness of the world system and thick darkness her people (Isaiah 60:1-2). "Come out of her, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues" (Revelation 18:4).
"Come to Me and I will give you rest; take My Yoke and learn from Me, gentle, humble, compassionate Wisdom and Power, and you will find rest for your soul" ~Jesus
Born again spirit united to Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:17); born anew soul with Christ in your heart and mind as your heart and mind are kept in Christ Jesus (1 Peter 1:22; Philippians 4:3-7); filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:19) as all the fullness of God dwells in Christ and you come to fullness of life in Him, in the Head of the one Body and one Spirit of God on the Throne in Christ and on earth in His pure betrothed bride who is called and chosen and faithful to the Lamb of God on the Throne, the Lord of lords and King of kings (Revelation 17:14), the True Shepherd, the Risen Spotless Lamb on the Throne, guides you to His Living Water (7:17), all who are ransomed for God out of EVERY tribe, tongue, people, and nation (5:9-10) singing "Worthy is the Lamb!" "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!"
Christ was the external pillar of fire and cloud of glory leading the Israelites in he desert wilderness for 40 years, but Moses was not allowed into the Promised Land of the old covenant. But NOW today Christ is the pillar of fire and cloud of glory in His pure betrothed bride to her ONE Husband, forsaking all others, leaving her old biological inheritance from fallen Adam fathered by lies, and cleaving only to the Son of Righteousness who joins her to Himself to sanctify, cleanse, wash, clear, deliver, free from bondage to sin and death and the works of the devil, nourishes, waters, cherishes, and makes "two into one" the profound mystery of Christ and His church (Ephesians 5:23-32). The Bride is united to the Spirit; she reveres and respects Christ and Christ loves His pure betrothed bride (5:33) whom He sanctifies wholly; keeping her spirit and soul and body sound and blameless (1 Thessalonians 5:23); in health even as her soul propers (3 John 2) loving the Son and He manifests Himself to her (John 14:21); loving the Son and the Father loves her, and they come and make their Home with her (14:23); Holy Spirit filling her spirit and soul and body; a new holy temple of God where Holy Spirit dwells within from God, so she can glorify God in her body (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
"The body was made for the Lord and the Lord for the body" 1 Corinthians 6:13,17,19-20).
The Word of God, the Sword of the Spirit, is able to cut you away from darkness and evil, and fill you with the True Light of the Glory of Christ, filled with all the fullness of the Beloved Son of the Father, making you Christ's beloved, therefore beloved of the Father also, a member of the One True Royal Family of God; giving up "childish" things with Christ in you, teaching you to abide and mature in Christ, the Head of the one Body and one Spirit of God; called into the one Body and one Spirit of Christ Jesus (Colossians 3:15).
"For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart" Hebrews 4:12
